Once in a village long back, there was a drought. It had not rained in a year and a half and the villagers were frustrated as their farms failed to produce food and the cattle were growing weak too.

They all met and decided to take action. The village head and the committee thought of gathering the entire community and performing a prayer to appease the rain gods so that they are happy again and bless the lands.

The notice was sent out, and all the villagers gathered in the square. There was a little boy in particular who caught everyone’s eyes.

Many heads turned, and some started giggling at the small boy. He was very confused as to why he was the center of attention of everyone’s jokes?

The village head called him and asked him:

“Little boy, when we are facing a drought, why are you carrying an opened umbrella?”

The little boy was astonished at first and stared in disbelief; his answer shocked the entire crowd.

“Aren’t we calling rain? When rains pour down, how will you shield yourself?”

The crowd went silent as they were touched by the boy’s unwavering faith. Though they all wanted the same results, were performing actions for it but still, they didn’t believe in themselves.

Often in life, we perform some actions and expect change but very little times we prepare for that change. We must have faith in ourselves and believe in our actions while preparing for the things we want so that those things can come into your reality.
