This Old Lady Changed A Life Forever

Once an office executive was leaving for his office early morning. His wife asked him to pick up a few apples along the way, and he hastily agreed before running to his meeting.

On the way, he saw an old lady selling apples, but as he didn’t have time to stop, he thought that he would buy them from the super-mart later on.

Next week again as he was returning from his office, he saw the old lady smiling at him, and he decided to stop and buy a few apples from her.

When he approached her, she was sweet to him and sold him fabulous quality items at a lower price than the supermarket. As they chatted some more, the old lady told him that she had been selling apples for years together and handpicked each and every Apple to make sure that they were the best. She earlier did the business with her husband, but he had passed away earlier that year due to cancer. The hospital bills had left her broke, and she had to work even more.

Astonished by this fact, the man asked, why she hadn’t increased the price or get average quality apples to increase her profits?

She smiled and replied to the man:

“I wouldn’t ever compromise with my work ethic to enhance my profit, my job is my soul, and I am glad to do my best every day.”

This left the man speechless. Even after facing so many adverse situations this woman stood before him and was so contented with her daily life. This gave him courage and inspired him to be the very best always without expecting any returns. He handed her a 100$ bill as she had taught him humanity which was beyond any price tag and he also posted an online story about her which gained her many more customers. She made a euphoric living from the very next day!
