The first and foremost step, it is the most important step for anyone who wants to lose weight or tone their bodies is visiting your doctor.
You would be surprised at this recommendation as no internet article will ever suggest you this when they are titled lose weight fast.
I am going to tell you why it is the most important step of them all!
Before proceeding further, you need to consult your doctor or physician and have a full body check up or an appointment with him or her. This is important as you may think that “fat” is the major culprit for your lethargy or out of shape body but it may be something completely else.
I have a perfect example as to what I am advising you to visit the doctor.
A friend of mine was always after losing weight after having a baby, but even if she managed to reduce a couple of pounds, they would come back up within no time at all. She tried all the diets out their from fads to crash but to no avail. Clubbing exercise with diet also didn’t do anything for her.
In the end, she had a full check up with her physician and found out that her weight was not an obesity problem but a thyroid problem instead! When she started taking the right medication for her condition, her body improved drastically, and she was able to achieve her goals.
By this story, I want to relate to you the importance of a pre-checkup. We all are unique individuals and we may have different conditions that have made us the way we are today. These reasons can range from stress to a less functioning metabolism or even genetics in some cases. You need to discover your own body.
If the doctor allows you to diet and exercise, you should go ahead with your plan else follow the procedure.
Please, never self-diagnose and take your body lightly in this matter.
Once you have the green light from your doctor, you should also consider about how much weight you need to lose to be in the healthy bracket. Devise some questions that you want to get clear on like how much weight to lose, what would be the best exercise for you etc. You may also want to consult a nutritionist if you want to go on a diet or a trainer for exercising.
Sometimes consulting an outside entity will help you stay on track and monitor you keeping in mind all the technical details of the process.
Dieting and exercising, when clubbed together will yield results, but you may or may not be able to follow through with the duration completely that is needed for your dream body.
