So you have set up a goal for yourself but haven't achieved it yet? Read on to find out why and How you can finally achieve it.

Most of you would have goals or resolutions like:

  • Travel to at least two countries this year

  • Increase my annual income by 30%

  • Lose a few pounds

Did you recognize any problem in the above set of goals? You wouldn’t ever achieve them completely, and I would tell you why.

The goals aren’t specific enough!

Your goals need to be specific regarding your actions, the goal itself and the time you would require to complete them. Let’s revise the above-stated goals:

Travel to Italy and Spain in the month of April and October respectively in 2017.

Increase my annual income by 30,000 dollars by opening multiple investment portfolios and switching to a higher paying job.

Lose 5 pounds by the end of November this year.

See the difference?

You need to kick-start your goals while forming them! There is a scientific reason behind this. When your brain can quantify and break something into smaller pieces, it's always easier to understand and accomplish that task.

The first set of goals were vague, and you need to get clear on what you want so that you can proceed to achieve it.

Now get on to your list and write all your goals. They could range from the smallest of desires to the largest of tasks. Write what your inner goals are and what would make you happy if you achieve it. Your goals can be spiritual, health related, personal, professional, etc. You now have a much greater chance to achieve it now!
