A personal story of battling with a monster called depression and coming out of it. How I leveraged this feeling into a victorious opportunity.
Why was it happening?
I was constantly asking this question to myself, I had all the good things in life but why was I feeling so lost? I had almost lost the will to do anything! I was canceling meeting plans with friends, was late on assignments and my health bar was going down as well.
See what depression does to you? It affects each and every part of your being! And trust me when I say this, it will creep up and destroy your life if you don't do anything about it.
After suffering from it for almost a year, I understood that my life was being controlled by this monster and somehow I had to get it back. So I went on the internet and did what any person would do.
Searched. And. Searched.
Nothing.
I didn't want any psychologist telling me what to do, I respect the profession, but you can't quantify a feeling by scientific terms (stages of depression and other stuff out there).
I didn't want to discuss my problem or why it happened because frankly there are a number of things that can trigger this behavior and if you get lost in the loop, you'll be more disheartened and sad. I was tired of searching for the cause and discussing why it was happening to me.
I just wanted a solution!
(Maybe focusing on the cause can be helpful to you, if you want, you should search for what triggered this behavior and try and solve the issue)
